The Crown Estate is recruiting for a marine planning policy manager to join the Energy, Minerals and Infrastructure (EMI) team on a permanent basis.
The EMI team manages almost the entire seabed out to the 12 nautical mile territorial limit around England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The EMI portfolio includes: marine renewable energy, marine aggregates, potash mining, oil and gas pipelines, telecommunications and power cables, carbon capture, and natural gas storage.
The marine planning policy manager will help identify and manage marine policy and planning implications on the EMI portfolio while supporting opportunities to grow the business and ensure the sustained performance of The Crown Estate revenue-generating businesses.
The ideal candidate will have an awareness and ability to translate a diverse range of marine-related policy and legislation objectives, in addition to knowledge of the marine spatial planning process and the processes for designation and management of marine protected areas.
