Training for Early-Career Polar Scientists

The World Ocean Council (WOC) is a partner of the Arctic Research Icebreaker Consortium (ARICE). This Horizon 2020 EU-funded project has the overall aim to provide Europe with better capacities for marine-based research in the ice-covered Arctic Ocean.

WOC and the other ARICE partners have collaborated with the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) to develop training to be held in March and April 2021.

WOC encourages early-career polar research scientists and technicians to participate in the training delivered by experts who will share their knowledge and experience. The modules cover a large range of topics, including marine robotics, the challenges of atmospheric measurements, how to manage working in a laboratory when it is moving, and best practices in technical science support.

Registration is now open on the course APECS webpage.

The full programme and registration links are available here.
