Join Marine Renewables Canada and international business consultant, Marcos Miranda, Feb. 24 from 2 to 3 p.m. AST to learn more about the expanding renewable energy market in Latin America, with a focus on Brazil’s potential for offshore wind and what opportunities exist for Canadian companies.
After a year in Brazil working with the federal government, regional energy associations, and private corporations, Miranda has seen firsthand the changes and shifts in the economy and political and energy scenario. Those shifts are happening right now as a consequence of COVID-19 and new political priorities.
The Brazilian market in particular, has been an area of recent focus in the region as initiatives in renewable energy continue to grow and attract international players. With nearly 8,000 kilometers of coastline, Brazil has immense potential for offshore wind power and has recently launched an Offshore Wind Roadmap to better understand the potential for development.
