Young Ocean Professionals: Submit Arctic Workshop Input by Feb. 2

The World Ocean Council (WOC) is a partner of the Arctic Research Icebreaker Consortium (ARICE). This Horizon 2020 EU-funded project aims to provide Europe with better capacities for marine-based research in the ice-covered Arctic Ocean.

WOC and the other ARICE partners will collaborate with the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) to organize a series of online workshops for early-career scientists, technicians and engineers onboard research icebreakers, with a wide focus spanning deep sea technology, sea-ice measurements, atmospheric measurements, marine robotics, etc.

Young ocean professionals are invited to provide input on their career development needs and the subjects they would like to see covered in the workshops. The deadline is February 2. Contact is: program.support@oceancouncil.org.

The workshop series is to be held in the second quarter of 2021.
